This is the first of a series of articles based on The Release of the Spirit by Watchman Nee. The series will shadow the lessons of New Life Assembly's men’s meetings. This first article is an introduction to the writer, with the basic premise of book and my reflections of the first chapter.

“And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” - Matthew 1:21, NKJV Armand J. Azamar
Praise and worship is a common element of any church service, whether past or present, in America or outside of the States. And although it may strike the emotions of the Christian, praise and worship also carries restorative and corrective traits as well. Armand J. Azamar
“The most holy and necessary practice in our spiritual life is the presence of God.” - Brother Lawrence of the Resurrection Armand J. Azamar
Correction is an inevitable, yet crucial part of the Christian walk and life in general. The fact of the matter is no one starts or ends this walk with Jesus perfect. Oftentimes, correction is an unwelcome mark of love. Jay Peters
"This is what happens when God shows up”... in a Christian film. This is the first Christian film (actually first of any film) I felt compelled enough by to write a review. Simply put, this is one of the best Christian films I have ever seen in terms of production value and most importantly the spiritual content that is boldly displayed. As a Christian filmmaker myself, all to often I have seen films that lack one or the other or often both. This is not the case with Woodlawn. Armand J. Azamar
Updated August 2017 Even with just a grammar school education, Aiden Wilson Tozer, known better as A. W., would become one of the most prolific Christian preachers and writers of the 20th century. Tozer was born on April 21, 1897, the third of six children. His meager family lived in the small farming community La Jose (presently Newburg), Pennsylvania. Due to his father’s chronic illness, Tozer needed to leave school after the sixth grade to provide for the family. Pastor Mike Cepela
Updated June 2015 In my many years of living, it seems like instead of an evolutionist proclaiming hard scientific evidence in favor of the theory of evolution, they seem to be more intent on telling creationists they should not hold on to creationism. Although, if you look at it with proper objectivity, creationism deserves at least the common respect given to any theory. Pastor Mike Cepela
Updated June 2015 If the name Westboro Baptist Church doesn’t ring a bell, I’ll give you a few clues. Westboro Baptist protest the funerals of American soldiers who have been killed in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. They hold up signs that say things like “Thank God for Dead Soldiers” and “God, America‘s Terror.” |
